Regular (equilateral) triangle

Overview
Important

An equilateral triangle is a triangle in which all three sides are congruent, and all three interior angles are equal, each measuring 60 degrees.

Important properties

  • All sides are equal: AB=BC=CAAB = BC = CA

  • All angles are equal: ABC=BCA=CAB=60\angle ABC = \angle BCA = \angle CAB = 60^\circ

  • It is both equilateral (equal sides) and equiangular (equal angles)

  • The triangle is symmetric about any of its medians, altitudes, or angle bisectors

  • The centroid, circumcenter, incenter, and orthocenter all coincide at the same point
