Rhomboids. Properties and characteristics
Overview
Important
A rhomboid is a parallelogram in which adjacent sides are of unequal lengths and angles are not right angles. That is, it is a parallelogram that is neither a rectangle nor a rhombus.
Important properties
-
Opposite sides are equal and parallel.
-
Opposite angles are equal.
-
The diagonals bisect each other but are not equal in length.
-
The sum of the angles at any two adjacent vertices is 180 degrees.
-
No sides are perpendicular, and no two adjacent sides are equal.
