Regular polygons

A regular polygon is a convex polygon with $n$ sides, where all sides are equal in length and all interior angles are equal in measure.

Important properties

• All sides are congruent.

• All interior angles are congruent.

• A regular polygon can be inscribed in a circle (all vertices lie on a circle).

• The formula for each interior angle is $\frac{(n-2) \times 180^\circ}{n}$, where $n$ is the number of sides.

• The formula for each exterior angle is $\frac{360^\circ}{n}$.
