Definition
A rotation is a movement of a shape or point around a fixed point, called the center of rotation, by a certain angle. The shape turns but does not change its size or shape.
Imagine spinning a paper around a pin stuck through it. The pin is the center of rotation. Every point on the paper moves in a circle around the pin, turning by the same angle. The distance from each point to the center stays the same.
