GMT - line or segment
Overview
Important
A line in geometry is the set of all points extending in both directions without end, usually defined by two distinct points. A line segment is the set of all points between (and including) two endpoints.
Important properties
-
A line has infinite length and no endpoints.
-
A line segment has two endpoints and finite length.
-
Any two distinct points determine exactly one line.
-
A segment is a subset of a line.
