A circle with center OO and radius rr is the set of all points PP in the plane such that OP=rOP = r. The equation of a circle with center (a,b)(a, b) and radius rr is (xa)2+(yb)2=r2.(x - a)^2 + (y - b)^2 = r^2.

Important properties

  • All radii of a circle are equal.

  • The diameter is 2r2r.
